STANDING OVATION for "OPERATION WEDDING". The Women's Performance Community of Jerusalem and OU Israel presented the moving and inspirational documentary about the legendary 1970 attempted-hijacking by Soviet Jewish refuseniks of a plane to freedom. Directed by the talented Anat Zalmanson Kuznetzov. Their escape failed, but the refuseniks broke the silence of Soviet Jewry and Jews behind the Iron Curtain. Many audience members had RALLIED for Soviet Jewry and shared their stories. Thank you to Carol Goldberg who even still had her SYLVA ZALMANSON bracelet.
